Graham Kurtz looks over his music one more time before trying out for a Broadway production of Legally Blond 2 in downtown Manhattan. Kurtz says he likes to try out for shows as much as possible, including plays he isn't even interested in. "It makes me less nervous when I'm up in front of a casting director when it really counts," he says, "because I've been doing it two times already that day."

Visiting MoMA Fridays

The Museum of Modern Art is a great place to visit. Even better when visiting on Target Free Fridays, which will save you the $20 admission. I recommend attending an exhibit a while after its opening. That way everyone who wants to see it first has seen it; and you'll get there before those who want to see it before it closes. It will save you some time standing in line.

Is yellow is the new green?

With parking at $25 an hour, it's no wonder that most of the cars you see at gas stations are taxis. If the $6 charge to drive in the city goes through, yellow might be the only color you see lining the streets.

Only in Chelsea

New York City's Chelsea is probably the only place in the world where you'd find a sign that indicates the building is a residence and not a gallery! With almost 300 galleries in the neighborhood, I suspect someone has had many unintentional doorbell rings.

The most beautiful dress ever

... is made by my favorite designer: Chloé. I saw it in the NYC Chloé storefront window and went in and asked how much it was. If it was $300 I didn't care – I was going to buy it. While knowing it would be expensive, I didn't expect it to be $3,000. I almost wanted to thank the man and woman at the store for taking my question seriously and not giving each other a sarcastic look like, "More than you can afford." Maybe I did thank them, but I can't remember.
